Movie in Review: Sanju
I am writing this review while trying my best not to give too much away. I am still getting goosebumps as I think about the Sanju experience of yesterday.
I cannot figure out what I am feeling more strongly – the awe and appreciation for Ranbir Kapoor for how through his BRILLIANT ACTING he has brought Sanju’s character to life, the gratitude towards Rajkumar Hirani for picking up a story that JUST HAD TO BE TOLD or the shock and grief for the gallant and bravery of Sanjay Dutt for living a life of such DIFFICULTY!
We Commoners take celebrities for so much granted. We think of them as people rolling in money and luxuries, making fancy trips around the world without a care. This movie shows how all that glitters is not gold and how the celebs (some of them) have it harder than us.
Having said that the brilliant performance of Paresh Rawal, Vicky Kaushal and Anushka Sharma cannot be left unpraised. Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala and Sonam Kapoor have also left no stone unturned.
Sanju is a masterpiece. There were atleast 4 occasions on which my tears just rolled down. For those of you who have not seen it and plan on watching it, MUST go to a cinema. Not because this brilliant piece of work appears more grand on the grand screen (which it does) but because the hard work and efforts that have gone into making this movie deserve the rewards and awards. (Agar nahi dekh sakte cinema ja kar tu koi baat nahi, mobile torrent zindabad!) #dilchotanakaren
It is not suitable for children so please leave them at home. Enjoy your cinema experience and let others too.
And finally to the media and paparazzi, please #bababoltahaiabhibusshogayaa! 🙏 (watch the movie to know what I mean). Bye now!
